Real estate sales statistics in September 2023
102,656 houses were sold in Turkiye in September.

In Turkiye, real estate sales in September decreased by 9.5% compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 102,656. The highest share is in Istanbul is 14.9% with 15,247 home sales.

Following Istanbul are Ankara with 9,048 house sales and Izmir with 5,476 house sales with shares of 8.8% and 5.3% respectively.

The provinces with the fewest sales were Ardahan (47), Hakkari (55) and Bayburt (77 house sales).

If we talk about statistics from the beginning of 2023, in the period from January to September, real estate sales decreased by 14.9% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 900,074.

Credit sales decreased by 50.2% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 8,446. Credit sales accounted for 8.2% of total sales.

During the period January-September, the volume of sales of credit facilities decreased by 29.6% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 160,884.

In September, 48,865 were sold on credit. In January-September – 48,865 sales on credit were primary housing.

The number of properties sold on the primary market in September amounted to 30,488 houses, which is 15.2% less than the same month of the previous year.

Since the beginning of the year, 268,597 primary homes have been sold, which is 13.9% less compared to the same period in 2022.

On the secondary market in September, 72,168 objects were sold, which is 6.8% less than in September last year.

Since the beginning of the year, 631,477 secondary properties have been sold, which is 15.2% less than last year.
